Man's Best Friend

Ever since Honey passed, I've really missed both her and Ronja (can't believe it's been almost three years since her passing) so much. Guess I've also come to the realization that there was something so special about those two girls. These girls simply seemed to have the ability to see straight into my very soul. They could read me and my feelings as an open book. There was such depth and wisdom in the eyes of both Ronja and Honey. They were my best friends, and soulmates in their own, distinct way. A connection of souls - that is the best way I can describe it.

Miss you both, mommy's girls.

Sending you all my love,

Melissa

Weekend Orchid

It's Friday and I found the most beautiful white Orchid on my quick run to the supermarket during lunch. A different version of my traditional Friday flowers. I like it!

And the sunshine! Wow! I've got some serious spring vibes today! :)

Wishing you all a weekend full of sunshine and good vibes,

Melissa

Spring Blue(s)

Oh, wow.
The last few weeks have been quite exhausting,
but hopefully I will start feeling better and more energized
as we move towards spring and lighter times.

With spring in mind, I felt like it was time to re-introduce
som blue tones into our livingroom. These serene and fresh shades,
together with some delicate grape hyacinths make spring feel just
a bit closer.

Until We Meet Again

"Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
And the dreams that you dream of
Once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
And the dreams that you dream of
Dreams really do come true"

Rest in peace dear Honey

About that Zen-lifestyle...

This little white buddha is one of my favourite objects in our house at the moment. A great symbol of that zen-lifestyle I've been striving for over the last few years. Or well, I've at least tried to fit in as many zen-moments as possible in everyday life. The truth is, most days turn out pretty far from zen with kids, work, dogs, hobbies and everything else our lives are made out of in modern day society. But squeezing in a meditation practice, a relaxing walk in the woods or just sitting down with a good book is enough for me.

I actually took a pretty bad fall outside less than an hour ago. My palms were all bloody and my back took a pretty bad hit too. I fear my hands (and the rest of my body) will be pretty sore tomorrow. Enough with the ice and snow - I need spring and warmth!

Have a lovely Saturday evening!

Xo,

Melissa
