Mixed garden flower bouquets

Oh how many different bouquets you can make out of flowers and greens from your own garden!
The sky really is the limit. Love letting my imagination run free!

 At the moment I'm especially excited about this new mint plant, that has grown
 enormous during the summer. It has such lovely leaves and soft lilac flowers.
Perfect for mixing and matching with other flowers!

Cornflowers

I've had bouquets of cornflowers from my flowerbed spread all over
 the house for the last few weeks. I've loved these little cuties ever
 since I was a little girl. My love for nature and flowers
 started at an early age. I remember growing
cornflowers in the garden of my childhood
 home,where I was given my own little 
flowerbed, able to choose what
 to grow myself.

These little bouquets are so cute!

Holiday Mode

I'm on my third week of summer vacation, and I feel calm and relaxed. 

The weather has not been very warm or sunny, but I've managed

 to enjoy my time off surprisingly well. I'm actually not that

 bothered about not having been able to lay on the beach 

every day.

I have two sets of covers for our sofas, and decided to change into the beige ones.

 Changing the covers really gives the whole room a different feel. 

Can't really say which one I like more, these light beige 

or the grey ones. 

Ps. Have you heard, beige is making a comeback this fall!

 Grey has been favoured for a long time, so it might 

actually be a refreshing change.

New Livingroom Table

I've been looking for a new coffee table for our livingroom, and finally found

 and ordered one last week online. And boy am I happy! It turned out to 

be even more beautiful than expected! Wow! So satisfied with the 

perfect mix of reclaimed wood and brushed steel.

And these white peonies from our garden have absolutely

 exploded this year!! There are hundreds of big flowers 

with a scent reminiscent of roses. 

Magical!

Spring Blue(s)

Oh, wow. 

The last few weeks have been quite exhausting, 

but hopefully I will start feeling better and more energized

 as we move towards spring and lighter times.

With spring in mind, I felt like it was time to re-introduce

som blue tones into our livingroom. These serene and fresh shades,

together with some delicate grape hyacinths make spring feel just

a bit closer.

 

Keväisiä tulppaaneja ja uusi ihana tyyny

Ulkona paistaa aurinko, ja paksuun lumipeitteeseen kietoutunut luonto on sanoinkuvaamattoman kaunis. Ja vaikka eletäänkin sydäntalvea, on tunne sydämessä hieman keveämpi, sillä ilmassa on jo aistittavissa pieni lupaus keväästä. 

Niinpä ajattelin pistäytyä täällä blogissa jakamassa hieman hempeitä sävyjä tähän perjantaihin. Ostin taannoisella Jyskin reissulla aivan ihanan, paisley-kuvioisen koristetyynyn sohvaa koristamaan. Tulppaanien aika on myös vihdoin täällä, ja olohuoneen marokkolaista tarjotinpöytää sulostuttaakin tänä viikonloppuna kimppu hempeän vaaleanpunaisia ihanuuksia.

Kuvissa näkyvä kauniskantinen kirja on muuten joululahja mieheltäni, ja sain häneltä myös saman sarjan kalenterin. Niin kauniita ja täynnä arjen tärkeitä oivalluksia!

Oikein aurinkoista perjantain jatkoa ja mahtavaa viikonlopun alkua!

 

 

Joulun odotusta olohuoneessa

Olohuoneesta pitkästä aikaa muutamat kuvat. Joulun väriskaala on tänä vuonna melko maanläheinen ripauksella kultaa ja punaista. Olen kovasti yrittänyt metsästää mieluisia punasävyisiä tyynynpäällisiä sohville, mutta tähän mennessä en ainakaan ole sopivia löytänyt. Tuntuu että päälliset on joko sellaisia "mauttoman" punaisia tai sitten niissä on liikaa blingblingiä. Voi siis olla että mennään tämä(kin) vuosi noilla samoilla vanhoilla päällisillä. Mutta toisaalta, mieluisia ovat nämäkin! :)

Ulkona on nyt vihdoinkin pari astetta pakkasta. Toivotaan että tulisi vielä luntakin.
